QUT Showcase Dance - Dance 08
Featuring fresh, dynamic dance works by acclaimed choreographers and showcasing the exceptional talents of QUT dance performance students, Dance 08 is an exploration of the exciting possibilities of contemporary dance.

As part of the Alumni Benefits, you will receive admission for up to four people and one free parking at Gardens Point campus for just $10. To book your tickets, simply mail or fax the RSVP form with your $10 payment to QUT by Thursday, 23 October. Or call the Alumni Office on 07 3138 1843 to reserve your seats.
You can also register and pay online by credit card using ePay registration form. Please follow the prompts and choose Alumni under “Available Selections”, then select the appropriate Alumni Theatre Evening show. We will mail the ticket(s) and parking voucher to you prior to the evening. |

Alumni are invited to attend productions at the QUT Gardens Theatre at a special discount rate. There is something for everyone including superb theatre productions from around Australia , international and local comedy shows and children's theatre. We now offer free parking for most shows and are delighted to announce the new theatre dinner and lunch menu with bar merlo 's café. QUT Alumni also have the benefit of purchasing their adult ticket ($34 for most shows) at the concession rate ($28 for most shows). I attended the alumni evening production of "Live Acts on Stage" and would like to send my congratulations to all involved. I have been involved in theatre for many years so my compliments are based on this experience.
Helen Christinson and Jessica Martin who played Hera, wife of Zeus and Eris, goddess of strife, respectively gave excellent performances. Jessica's costume and makeup were brilliant. The overall costuming was innovative but at the same time practical, given the sloping stage area the actors were working on.
The sloping stage, with its opening portholes and closed-circuit T.V., proved effective for displaying earth and the underworld. Lighting and effects were excellent.
Congratulations once again for an excellent night of entertainment and enlightenment. I wish I could have learnt about the myths in that way!!

The Alumni Theatre Evenings provide my family and I a very economical night "at the theatre" - but importantly allow us an opportunity to see the
quality of production our young thespians, dancers, musicians and directors
are able to achieve. Being an Alumni allows four of us to attend the
opening night of a QUT theatre performance, receive one complimentary drink,
and get free parking on campus (very important when you're running late!)
for just $10. We've been to nearly every production in the last two years
and looking forward to attending many more. Occasionally, just
occasionally, I'll run into a person I knew from QIT days, but more the norm
is to meet different people from a wide range of courses and years who are
taking advantage of the night's production. The Productions are first class
and very professional - no amateur theatre stuff here!
