[Print-friendly version] The Sydney alumni networking group allows you and other members of QUT alumni, within the CBD and inner and outer suburbs of Sydney, to network with one another as well as plan and attend events that are appropriate for Sydney alumni. These might include professional development opportunities, special talks, dinners, or purely social occasions where alumni would be able to network. The Sydney Alumni Group has recently formed a new committee. The committee aims to bring new and fresh events to the Sydney calendar in 2011. Guest Speaker Catherine Smithson, Managing Director: Being Human Catherine Smithson is a leading facilitator, educator and consultant in change and leadership and is Managing Director of Being Human Pty Ptd., a specialist Change Management training and consulting firm. She has 20 years experience as a senior manager with Burson-Marsteller, 3M, CSR and ING Australia. She has also consulted to leading public and private sector organisations. Catherine has written curriculum materials and lectured in MBA and executive Leadership Programs for AGSM, University of Technology Sydney and Macquarie Graduate School of Management. She has a Master of Business Administration from the Australian Graduate School of Management in the University of NSW. She also has a Master of Arts, a Bachelor of Arts and a Diploma of Education and numerous professional accreditations. Professor Jeff Jones, Professor Interaction Design of the QUT Faculty of Built Environment and Engineering will also present on the latest developments at QUT.
