Our goal is to provide other QUT students and graduates from Norway better opportunities to stay in touch and meet up every once and again. We all share many memories from Brisbane and QUT. A network of previous students can serve useful in a variety of ways, and also give a chance to reminisce on good times in the Land of Endless Summer. QAN will arrange for several get-togethers, and offer both food for thought as well as lots of fun and frolicking. September 2006 - QUT hosted a special QUT Alumni reception in Oslo for graduates and former students of QUT. This event provided and opportunity for Alumni (including former study abroad and exchange students) to meet with friends, other QUT graduates and university staff. At this event, the formation of an Alumni Chapter was made. September 2005 - Professor Sandra Harding (Deputy Vice-Chancellor) hosted a special QUT Alumni reception in Oslo for graduates and former students of QUT. This event provided and opportunity for Alumni (including former study abroad and exchange students) to meet with friends, other QUT graduates and university staff. What is Alumni? According to Wikipeda, Alumni is a term that refers to graduates from educational institutions. The word "Alumnus" is derived from the pre-classical Latin present passive participle of alere, "to nourish"; it means a 'nursling' or 'foster child'. If you graduated from QUT you can join the QUT Alumni. Please contact the alumni office to register. If you’re not a registered with QUT Alumni, don’t worry – you are still very welcome to attend all QAN arrangements! The QUT Norway Alumni Group provides opportunities for QUT graduates living in Norway to network with each other.
