QUT Malaysia Alumni Reception
QUT Alumni in Malaysia (including recent graduates) are warmly invited to attend an Alumni reception, to be hosted by the QUT Vice-Chancellor, Professor Peter Coaldrake AO on Sunday 14 March 2013.
Join us for an afternoon of refreshments and networking with other QUT alumni in Malaysia, as well as staff representatives from QUT. This event will follow the Malaysia Graduation Ceremony, and graduates from the Ceremony are invited to stay on for the alumni reception.

Alumni gathered at the Intercontinental Kuala Lumpur for a reception welcoming new graduates.
October 2010
QUT International and the QUT Alumni Office hosted a table for our alumni in Kuala Lumpur at a Gala Dinner organised by Austrade Malaysia in conjunction with the annual Study in Australia exhibition in early October.

The inaugural Gala Dinner was attended by representatives from Australian education providers, Australian alumni, recruitment agencies and other organisations.
Five invited QUT alumni attended the function, including our most active supporter Mr Christopher Joseph. Others were Associate Prof Noor Ismail, Ms Siew Ling Tan, Mr Andrew Ho and Mr Eric Choo. At the event 3 other QUT alumni also attended, including Ms Korbua who works at AEI Bangkok and Claire Lam and Stephanie Cowley from Aviation Australia based in Brisbane. QUT was represented by Swee-Mee Thean (QUTI), Gurpreet Singh (Creative Industries Faculty) and Nelson Ng (FaST).
March 2010 - QUT Alumni Reception in conjunction with graduations. With guest Speaker Associate Professor Robina Xavier,
Head, School of Advertising, Marketing & Public Relations. Held at the Hotel Nikko.
April 2009 - QUT Alumni Networking Event in conjunction with graduation. Held at the Hotel Nikko.
June 2008 - QUT Alumni High Tea at Dwan Muhibbah, Merdeka Palace Hotel Suites, Jalan Tun Abang Haji Openg, Kuching
An Alumni Dinner was held at the Renaissance Kuala Lumpur following QUT Graduation Ceremony on Sunday 22 April 2007
The first event for 2005 for the group was a dinner at the Renaissance Kuala Lumpur. Over 60 QUT Alumni and guests enjoyed a night of great food and entertainment.
A small group of Alumni met for Dinner in Kuala Lumpur in November.
Alumni in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah meet for a tea reception in December.
In 2004, the group held an Alumni Dinner at the Menara KL (KL Tower), Megan View Banquet Deck in March,this was followed by an Alumni Careers and Networking evening held in September at the JW Marriott Hotel.
In 2003, the group held a dinner at the Royal Selangor Club in Kuala Lumpur which provided an opportunity to network with other alumni and meet up with QUT Staff, including Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dennis Gibson who was on his last visit to Malaysia as Vice-Chancellor of QUT.
The dinner also provided the opportunity to welcome the new graduands who graduated in March 2003 to the group.
QUT Alumni gathered and met with Vice-Chancellor, Professor Peter Coaldrake in Kuala Lumpur at the JW Marriot Hotel in October 2003 for a cocktail reception.
