Welcome to the Information Professionals Alumni Chapter website!
The Information Professionals Alumni Chapter has been established as a means of maintaining a link between QUT's Library and Information Studies and Teacher-Librarianship courses, and graduates out in the field. The Alumni chapter committee has planned a number of social, networking and professional development opportunities for graduates.
If you are interested in becoming a member of the chapter, contact the QUT Alumni Office with your contact details, and a note on why you are interested in joining.
Graduates of QUT's library degree programs, including teacher librarians, who would like an invitation to our next event, should email the Chapter on ip.alumni@qut.edu.au and a committee member will contact you to provide you with further information. Our events are usually open to everyone, so you don't need to be a graduate to attend.
We are continually looking for suggestions about where our Alumni Chapter should be going, so please do not hesitate to contact us with your ideas!
2011 Chapter AGM - Outcomes
On July 13, we held our AGM and biennial committee elections. We would like to welcome several new committee members who have some fresh ideas for chapter events and engagement. We are looking forward to planning for the coming months and years ahead.
We would also like to thank Julanne Neal for her leadership and commitment over the past four years as Committee President. The chapter would not be what it is today withough her. Julanne resigned at the AGM, but has offered to stay on with the new committee for advice and guidance. Jennifer Thomas has stepped up as Committee President and Trish Murphy has taken the role of Vice-President.
