New Committee & President

The Hong Kong Alumni Chapter has recently formed a new committee. The committee aims to bring new and fresh events to the Hong Kong calendar in 2011.

2010

• QUT Alumni Reception - held 13th October at the Sheraton Hotel Hong Kong. This event was well attended and featured presentations by the Chancellor and Registrar of QUT. A special presentation was also made by alumnus Jason Li - Director of Development, South China from the Australia China Alumni Association.
• The Hong Kong Graduation was held 14th October also at the Sheraton Hotel

• September - Hong Kong Alumni Event hosted by QUT Registrar, Dr Carol Dickenson and with guest speaker QUT graduate Leon Ho. Leon completed his Bachelor of Information Technology majoring in Software Engineering and Data Communication in 2000. His first job was with Red Hat, a publicly traded company, where he was promoted to Team Leader in 2003 and Manager in 2005. He then founded his own company Stepcase, in Hong Kong.Leon has been interviewed over the last few years by Time Magazine, Wall Street Journal, Business Week, The New York Times, Hong Kong Economic Times, Next Magazine, iMoney, U Magazine and Commercial Daily.
