Golden Memories

More than 480 QUT Golden Graduates were reunited at an annual morning tea on Saturday 8 November at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. The 50th year reunion dinner of 1958 Teachers' Training College was held at the Kelvin Grove campus that night.

Many graduates were overwhelmed at being reunited for the first time in 50 years. Several proud stories were also shared of Golden Graduates having 2-3 generations of their family studying at QUT.

Special thanks again to Aveo and Malouf Group Pharmacies for their 3rd year in sponsoring the event. Golden Graduates are people who graduated at least 50 years ago from one of QUT’s predecessor institutions.

2007 Golden Graduates Reunion

QUT’s Golden Graduates are going strong - A record number of 560 QUT Golden Graduates attended November’s annual morning tea in their honour. It was a double celebration in 2007 for QUT's Golden Graduates because as well as the traditional Saturday morning tea, the 50-year reunion of 1957 Teachers' Training College Golden Graduates was held in the evening at Kelvin Grove campus.
