Edward Tan

Rajendra Tanwar

Mark Taylor

Solina Theron (nee Song)

After graduating, Solina moved to England to take up a marketing position at Newbold College.  Afterwards, she spent two years working as a media manager at a city-based company in London.  Solina is now married and currently working in New Zealand, mainly in television.  Her second 60 Minutes story on New Zealand’s ‘lion man’, Craig Busch, was nominated for the 2007 Qantas Television Awards for Investigation of the Year.  shelfco@slingshot.co.nz.

Amanda Van Lieshout

Kim Walters (Tickle)

Bradley Wilken

Arnold Williams
DipPharmacy 1955
After graduation and National Service, Arnold became manager of the Townsville Associated Friends Societies Dispensary and also became involved with a group of pharmacists who opened two after-hours pharmacies.  In 1972, he moved to Sydney and after 12 years returned to Queensland to make his home at Mermaid Waters.  In 1987, together with his wife, Kay, they established the Rio Vista Pharmacy which they ran successfully until their retirement in 2001.  Arnold’s community involvement started with Jaycees, National Fitness Council, Lions and later Probus.  He also helped to establish Toastmaster and Rostrum Clubs in north Queensland.  Since their retirement, Arnold and Kay have done a little locum work to keep up with pharmacy and pharmaceutical products.  arnoldwilliams@bigpond.com or 07 5575 2549.

Ian Wilson
A former QUT senior lecturer with the Faculty of Law (1982-2002), Ian is now a qualified yachtsman and marine consultant.  Often seen sailing his own boat on Moreton Bay with his wife Jean, he recently undertook study and extensive practical training to become a yacht “skipper” or captain.  Ian spends a part of each year in Brisbane, New Zealand and the United States, following his love of sailing and adventure.  He also travels extensively to places such as Antarctica, Africa and South America.  Not entirely lost to the legal profession, Ian continues to practise “pro bono” when time allows.  Representing clients at no charge, Ian says this allows him to give something back to his local community in a meaningful way.  findian@paradise.net.nz

Ebony Wright

After graduating, Ebony received a contract with J W Marriott Mumbai in India to dance in their New Year’s spectacular, Jewel 07.  In 2007, she was contracted to dance at the Tokyo Disney Resort in Japan for seven months.  Afterwards, Ebony travelled to New York and Los Angeles to take dance classes, see shows and undertake creative development.  ebonyherself@gmail.com or 0439 490 910.

Omer Yezdani

Omer is currently the Indigenous education manager with the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations.  She says she is the youngest executive-level manager appointed with the state office and is responsible for coordinating the Australian Government’s Indigenous education programs across Queensland.  Omer is also about to commence an MBA program at QUT and is looking forward to meeting other MBA students.  omer.yezdani@deewr.gov.au or 0400 585 201.

Scott Young

Scott has been on the move since leaving QUT.  After a few years in chartered accountancy in Brisbane, Scott headed off to the UK for 10 years, then three in Malaysia, and he has lived for 11 years in the United States pursuing a career in the oil industry, initially with BP Amoco and currently with Chevron.  Scott lives in Houston, Texas, but says he hopes to return to Queensland at some point in the future.  He remembers an active QUT Alumni Chapter in Kuala Lumpur, which he enjoyed during his years there.  scy1999@yahoo.com or +1 281 2174536.

Anwar Yusoff

After graduating, Anwar worked with Telekom Malaysia as a project manager and was later given the opportunity to be part of the Telekom Malaysia International venture based for one year in Guinea, Africa, and two years in Dhaka, Bangladesh.  Whilst in Bangladesh, Anwar was appointed vice president of the Malaysian Overseas Club.  Back in Malaysia, he is currently ICT project manager with Maxis, which he says is the second largest cellular company in Malaysia.  lubokmerbau@yahoo.com or + 601 3431 1114.
