The QUT Alumni Service Award is established to recognise the outstanding personal service of alumni volunteers, many of who have worked in the interests of the university for many years. The award is to be established to recognise the generous commitments of time, energy and expertise by serving on university boards and committees and other volunteer commitments.
Eligibility
Alumni of the university will be selected to receive the QUT Alumni Service Award for alumni volunteer service to the university community. To be eligible, a nominee must fulfil the following criteria:
- be an alumnus of the QUT or its predecessor institutions,
- have provided (or be currently providing) sustained outstanding voluntary leadership and service to the general University community,
- be an advocate of the interests of Alumni and the University, and
- not previously have received the QUT Alumni Service Award
Selection Committee
The QUT Alumni Board will make decisions as to recipients of the QUT Alumni Service Award based on recommendations by the University Community.
Frequency and Intention of Quantity
The QUT Alumni Service Award will be presented in an adhoc manner with the intention of no more than 2 (two) awards being presented in the same year.
Recognition
Each Award recipient will receive a framed certificate, acknowledging their service. Alumni may also be recognised in QUT Links or Inside QUT .
